Setting Menus

Press [SET UP] in stop mode to display “Easy Setting Menu” or “Advanced Setting Menu.” Choose either “Easy Setting Menu” or “Advanced Setting Menu” using [Cursor U / D], then press [ENTER] to change between the menus.

“Easy Setting Menu” and “Advanced Setting Menu” are available from the Setting Menu. The “Easy Setting Menu” consists of the settings frequently needed, while the “Advanced Setting Menu” consists of all the settings available. You can set the items marked with in the “Easy Setting Menu.”

The unit remembers which setting menu you used last time and recalls it when you press [SET UP] in stop mode next time, even if power is switched off.

(i.e., if you use the “Easy Setting Menu” and then turn the unit off, the “Easy Setting Menu” will appear next time you turn on the unit and press [SET UP] in stop mode.)

Advanced Setting Menu

1OSD Language:

Select the OSD language.

2Clock:

Set the unit clock.

3 Channel:

Set up auto tuning or manual tuning.

4 DVD-RW Recording Format:

Select the DVD-RW recording format between Video mode and VR mode.

5Timer Programming:

Programme a timer recording.

6Auto Finalise:

Set Auto Finalise to “ON” or “OFF.”

7 Disc / CD Playback Mode:

“Disc” is available only when a DVD-RW / R disc is inserted into the unit. If a DVD-Video (commercially available), a new DVD-R disc or a finalised DVD-R disc is inserted into the unit, you cannot select “Disc.” “CD Playback Mode” is available only when an Audio CD, Video CD or a CD-RW / R disc containing MP3 / JPEG files is inserted into the unit.

1 Playback:

Set up the unit to record to a disc or a tape.

Set up the OSD format and the front panel display of the unit.

4 Select Video:

Choose an external input to record from other video equipment to a disc or a tape.

5 Clock:

Set the unit clock.

6 Channel:

Set up and adjust channels.

7 Disc / CD Playback Mode:

“Disc” is available only when a DVD-RW / R disc is inserted into the unit. If a DVD-Video (commercially available), a new DVD-R disc or the finalised DVD-R disc is inserted into the unit, you cannot select “Disc.” “CD Playback Mode” is available only when an Audio CD, Video CD or a CD-RW / R disc containing MP3 / JPEG files is inserted into the unit.
