•Insert a tape here.

3Disc tray OPEN/CLOSE O button* (DVD)

•Press to open or close the disc tray.

4VCR/DVD button (DVD/VCR)

•Press to select the component you wish to operate.

5Disc tray (DVD)

•Place a disc here when open.

6AUDIO input jacks (AV3) (DVD/VCR)

•Use to connect external equipment with standard Audio cables.

7VIDEO input jack (AV3) (DVD/VCR)

•Use to connect external equipment with a standard Video cable.

8S-VIDEO input jack (AV3) (DVD/VCR)

•Use to connect the S-Video output of external equipment with an S-Video cable.

9DVD REC I button (DVD)

•Press once to start a recording.

•Press repeatedly to start a one-touch timer recording.

10DVD PLAY P button* (DVD)

•Press to start or resume a playback.

11DVD STOP S button* (DVD)

•Press to stop a playback or recording.

•Press to stop a timer recording of DVD.

12DVD light (DVD)

•Lights up when the DVD output mode is selected.

14DUBBING button (DVD/VCR)

•Press to start VCR to DVD (DVD to VCR) duplication which you set in the setting menu.

15PR(OGRAMME) +/- buttons (DVD/VCR)

•Press up or down to change the channel.

•Refer to “Front Panel Display Guide” on page 16.

17Remote control sensor

•Receives signals from your remote control so you can control the unit from a distance.

18VCR REC I button (VCR)

•Press once to start a recording.

•Press repeatedly to start a one-touch timer recording.

19VCR PLAY P button* (VCR)

•Press to start a playback of a video tape.

20VCR STOP/EJECT S/O button (VCR)

•Press to remove the tape from the unit.

•Press to stop the tape motion.

•Press to stop the proceeding timer recording in VCR.

21VCR F.FWD f button* (VCR)

•Press to rapidly advance the video tape.

•Press to view the picture rapidly in forward during playback. (Forward Search)

•Press to turn the unit on when the video tape is inserted and start rapidly advancing the tape.

22VCR REW r button* (VCR)

•Press to rewind the video tape.

•Press to view the picture rapidly in reverse during the playback mode. (Rewind Search)

•Press to turn the unit on when the video tape is inserted and start rewinding the tape.

13VCR light (VCR)

•Lights up when the VCR output mode is selected.
