When you connect the recorder and your TV via fully-wired
21-pin SCART cable (pg. 4), you can set the recorder's tuner channels by downloading preset data from your TV instead of using the Auto Set Up function (pg. 6). After downloading is completed, the recorder sets the clock and Guide Program number automatically. For details, refer to the instruction manual for your TV.
Perform steps 1 to 3 of "Auto Set Up" on page 6 and 7 before continuing.

In the area where no TV station transmits a PDC signal, the recorder can perform neither auto clock set nor auto Guide Program number set.

If there is a power cut, or if you press or MENU while downloading or set up is in progress, it will be interrupted; be sure to turn off the recorder power once and try again from the beginning.

Auto clock may not function properly depending on the reception condition.

When you perform T-V LINK function, be sure to use fully- wired 21-pin SCART cable.

(ID) are A–Z, 0–9, –, *, + and (space). Some downloaded station’s name may differ from those of your TV (pg. 52).
