1 Turn the power on using the DBS receiver's remote control.

2 While holding down CABLE/DBS on the VCR’s remote control, press MBR SET and use the NUMBER keys to enter the DBS receiver brand number from the chart in the left column and then press STOP.

Follow the example shown below.

Check if the DBS receiver's power goes off as it should. If it does, try other operations (☞ step 3).

●Once you have set the remote control to operate the DBS receiver, you don't have to repeat this step until you replace the remote control's batteries.

OPERATE DBS RECEIVER

3 First, while holding down CABLE/DBS, press the corresponding button: POWER, TV CH +/–, NUMBER keys.

●Depending on the DBS receiver you may have to press ENTER after having pressed the NUMBER keys.

●To change the DBS receiver's channel, press TV CH +/– or the NUMBER keys. (The CH +/– button can be used to change the VCR's channel only.)

NOTES:

●Depending on the type of DBS receiver, there may be cases where some or all functions cannot be operated using the remote control.

●It's not possible to operate a DBS receiver that is not equipped with a remote control sensor.

●Though ECHOSTAR has a number of different remote codes, this remote control is applicable only to one of those codes preset at the factory.

●It's not possible to set the remote control for both your DBS receiver and a cable box at the same time. You can only set the remote control to operate one of these units at a time.
