A Typical Connections

Before connecting: The leads of the power cord and those of the connector from the car body may be different in color.

B Connecting the external amplifiers

You can connect another power amplifier for front speakers.

For connecting another power amplifier, set “L/O MODE” to “FRONT” (See page 19 of the INSTRUCTIONS.)

Subwoofer can be connected only to the front LINE OUT terminals. Set “L/O MODE” to “WOOFER” (See page 19 of the

INSTRUCTIONS.)

Connect only the front speakers if your speaker system is two-speaker system.

*1 Firmly attach the ground wire to the metallic body or to the chassis of the car—to the place not coated with paint (if coated with paint, remove the paint before attaching the wire). Failure to do so may cause damage to the unit.

PRECAUTIONS on power supply and speaker connections:

JVC CD changer, JVC SIRIUS® radio (DLP: Down Link Processor), Apple iPod®, or JVC D. player

• Set “EXT IN” to “CHANGER” (see page 19 of the INSTRUCTIONS).

You can connect these components in series as illustrated below. The iPod or D. player can be connnected using an interface adapter (not supplied)—KS-PD100 (for iPod) or KS-PD500 (for

D. player).

You can also connect JVC PnP through this unit using JVC SIRIUS radio adapter, KS-U100K (not
