Tuning in to a preset service

Using the remote controller, you can easily tune in to a preset service.

2 Select a preset number (1 – 6).

To select a preset service using the Preset Service List

1 While listening to a service...

Hold

• Service Labels are shown on the list.

2 Select a preset number.

If you press 4/¢( /), you can move to the lists of the other bands.

To exit from the Preset Service List, press

MENU again.

Using the Standby Reception

You can use three types of Standby Reception.

Road Traffic News Standby Reception

Announcement Standby Reception

PTY Standby Reception

Using Road Traffic News Standby Reception

Road Traffic News Standby Reception allows the unit to switch temporarily to Road Traffic News (or Traffic Announcement) from any source except AM.

If a Road Traffic News (or Traffic Announcement) starts broadcasting, “Traffic News” appears and the unit tunes in to the service (or FM RDS station) broadcasting Road Traffic News (or Traffic Announcement). The volume changes to the preset TA volume level (see page 40).

To activate Road Traffic News Standby Reception (and TA Standby Reception):

TP indicator

(either lights up or flashes)

If the TP indicator lights up, Road Traffic News Standby Reception (or TA Standby Reception) is activated.

When a service which is supporting Road Traffic News is received. This unit now stands by for the Road Traffic News signal reception—Road Traffic News Standby Reception.

When a service which is not supporting Road Traffic News signal is received. This unit now stands by for the TA signal reception—TA Standby Reception (see page 16).
