Using PTY Standby Reception

PTY Standby Reception allows the unit to switch temporarily to your favorite programme (PTY: Programme Type) from any source except AM stations.

Operations are exactly the same as explained on pages 17 and 18 for FM RDS stations.

You cannot use PTY Standby Reception separately for the DAB tuner and for the FM tuner.

To select your favorite PTY code for PTY Standby Reception, see page 17.To activate PTY Standby Reception, see page 17 and 18.

You can activate and deactivate PTY Standby Reception when the source is either “FM” or “DAB.”

Tracking the same programme—Alternative Reception

You can keep listening to the same programme.

While receiving a DAB service:

When driving in an area where a service cannot be received, this unit automatically tunes in to another ensemble or FM RDS station broadcasting the same programme.

While receiving an FM RDS station: When driving in an area where a DAB service is broadcasting the same programme as the FM RDS station is broadcasting, this unit automatically tunes in to the DAB service.

To change the Alternative Reception setting,

follow the procedure below:

1 While playing any source...

The Main Menu appears on

the display.

 

2 Move the cursor to “PSM” on the Main Menu.

3 Enter the PSM Menu.

4 Select “DAB AF.”

5 Select an option.

On

Off

On: Tracks the programme among DAB services and FM RDS stations.

The AF indicator lights up on the display.

Off: Cancels the Reception.

• The AF indicator goes off.

To exit from the Menu operation, press

MENU again.

To activate the Alternative Reception, follow the procedure above and select “On” in step 5.
