Basic operations of disc/file playback

Playing back from a position 10 seconds before

When a disc is played back

Press .

NOTE

You cannot go back to the previous title and orig- inal program (play list).

Slow motion playback

When a disc is paused

Press [ SLOW] or [SLOW ].

Each time you press [ SLOW] or [SLOW ], the speed increases.

To return to normal playback, press [DVD/CD 6].

NOTE

No sound is produced.

For a DVD VR, slow motion playback can be used in the forward direction only.

Skipping to the beginning of a title/group

(PBC off)

When a disc/file is played back

Press [GROUP/TITLE SKIP] while holding down [SHIFT].

Skipping to the beginning of a chapter/track/file

(PBC off)

When a disc/file is played back

Press 4or ¢repeatedly.

Selecting a chapter/track using the number buttons

When a disc/file is played back

Use the number buttons to select the chapter number or track number.

NOTE

Skipping forward/backward at 30 second or 5 minute intervals

You can skip within a file at 30 second or 5 minute intervals.

When a disc/file is played back

Press or .

Each time you press  or , the playback posi- tion skips to the beginning of the previous or next interval.

The length of the interval differs depending on the file.
