Selecting a radio station

1 Press [TUNER] to select “TUNER FM” or “TUNER AM” in the display window.

Pressing [TUNER] selects a radio broadcast as the sound source.

2 Hold down 4or ¢.

The radio frequency starts changing in the display window.

When the main unit has received a broad- cast, the frequency automatically stops changing.

You can select a specific radio station while searching for a broadcast. Press 4or ¢to stop the search when the desired frequency appears in the display window.

NOTE

If an FM stereo broadcast is difficult to hear because of noise, you may be able to hear the broadcast more easily by pressing [TUNER/ PLAY MODE] to switch the sound to monaural

reception. In this case, the (monaural) indica- tor lights up in the display window. To return the sound to stereo reception, press [TUNER/PLAY

MODE] again. The (stereo) indicator lights up in the display window.

Tuning in to a preset radio station

Presetting radio stations in the main unit allows you to easily tune in to a radio station. You can store up to 30 FM radio stations and up to 15 AM radio station.

Presetting radio stations

1 Select a radio station you want to store.

Refer to “Selecting a radio station” shown on the left.

You can also preset selected stereo or mon- aural reception for an FM broadcast.

2 Press [ENTER/SET].

“SET” flashes in the display window for a few seconds.

3 While “SET” is flashing, press the number buttons to select the preset number you want to assign.

4 Press [ENTER/SET].

“STORED” appears and the selected radio station is stored.

NOTE

When you store a radio station to a preset num- ber to which another radio station has previously been stored, the newly set radio station replaces the previously stored radio station.

When the power cable of the main unit is discon- nected from the AC outlet or the power is inter- rupted, the preset radio station settings may be lost within a few days. If the setting is lost, set the preset radio station again.
