NOTE

When the speaker position is "R", adjust the vol- ume of the left "SURR L" surround speaker and the right "SURR R" surround speaker separately.

In the following situations, "SUBWFR" cannot be adjusted.

"SUB WFR" is set to "OFF" in "Other Settings" on the right.

The sound source with stereo sound is played.

The sound source is DVD and the disc is stopped.

Dolby Pro Logic II

Dolby Pro-Logic II allows you to enjoy 2 channels source (sound source) such as CD with surround effect. There are two modes as follows:

Pro Logic movie(PLII MOVIE)

:Surround used for movie software

Pro Logic Music (PLII MUSIC)

:Surround used for music software When Dolby Pro Logic II Surround is used, appears in the display window.

All Channel Stereo (ALL CH ST.)

This mode allows you to listen to stereo sound while playing the 2-channel source (sound source) such as a CD, by using the four speakers of the unit. In this way, it is possible to enjoy broader stereo sound compared with the sound produced by two speakers.

BAL:

Turning down the volume of the left or right speaker. To turn down the volume of the right

speaker, press (R-1-R-21), to turn down the

volume of the left speaker, press (L-1-L-21).

The volume level changes each time the button is pressed. When the balance is right, it displays "CENTER".

SUB WFR:

When a sub-woofer is connected to the unit, select "ON".

When a sub-woofer is not connected, select "OFF".

DEC1, 2:

This allows you to set to the decode mode when external equipment connected to Digital 1 or 2 uses Dolby Digital or DTS, or when an equipment such as a BS digital tuner is connected to Digital 1 or 2. It is helpful in the following situations:

When the sound is not audible at the beginning of the playback.

When noise is heard when selecting a chapter. AUTO/PCM:Normally this mode should be

selected.

DTS:

This mode should be selected when

 

the sound is DTS. Other sounds than

 

DTS are not heard.

It allows you to return to source (sound source) display a few seconds later.
