To start playback of the desired title

Press one of the numeric buttons to specify number of the desired title.

To call up the ORIGINAL PROGRAM display

During playback, press TOP MENU.

The ORIGINAL PROGRAM display appears on the TV screen.

While the ORIGINAL PROGRAM display is shown, you can

perform the following operations.

 

 

 

 

• Start playback of a desired program by designating it using 5/

 

 

on the ORIGINAL PROGRAM display.

 

 

 

 

VR

• Go to the next title or return to the previous title by pressing

4/¢.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Turn off the ORIGINAL PROGRAM display by pressing TOP MENU (playback continues).

• Stop playback by pressing 7.

NOTE

If you press MENU during original playback, the PLAY LIST display appears on the TV screen, and the player enters playback by play list (see the following description).

Playback by play list

In playback by play list, contents on a VR format disc are played back according to the way they were edited while recording.

When inserting a VR format disc, after the disc contents are read, the original playback starts.

Press MENU.

The PLAY LIST display appears on the TV screen, and playback by play list starts.

As the PLAY LIST display appears, playback of play list 1 starts. When the last play list has been played back, the player stops playback automatically.

While the PLAY LIST display is shown, you can perform the following operations.

Start playback of a desired play list by designating it using 5/on the PLAY LIST display.

Go to the next play list or return to the previous play list by pressing 4/¢.

Turn off the PLAY LIST display by pressing MENU (playback continues).

Stop playback by pressing 7.

NOTE

If you press TOP MENU during playback by play list, the ORIGINAL PROGRAM display appears on the TV screen, and the player enters original playback status (playback starts from title 1).

To stop in the middle of playback

Press 7.

Playback is interrupted.

If the resume mode is set to “ON,” the player memorizes the interrupted position.

NOTES

The “DISC RESUME” mode is not available for VR format discs. Even if you set [RESUME] to [DISC RESUME], the resume mode will be the same as when [RESUME] is set to [ON].

With [RESUME] set to [ON], the player memorizes the position where you interrupted playback, but the memory will be cleared if you turn off the player.

To resume playback

Press 3 (SELECT).

If [RESUME] is set to [ON] and an interrupted position is memorized, playback re-starts from the interrupted position. If no interrupted position is memorized, or [RESUME] is set to [OFF], the player returns to the original playback status, and playback re-starts from the title 1.
