Basic operations

When you insert a disc with groups and files, the Control display that shows the contents of the disc automatically appears on the TV screen.

You can specify and play back the desired group/file from the Control display using the following procedure.

1 Make sure that the cursor bar is in the left (group) column on the Control display.

Viewing pictures continuously (Slide show mode)

You can see JPEG files (still pictures) one after another automatically.

To start the slide show

Press 3 (SELECT).

The slide show starts from the beginning of the disc. Each file (still picture) is displayed for approximately 7 seconds.

To stop slide show playback in the middle

Press 7 or MENU.

The TV screen returns to the Control display.

Pressing 3 (SELECT) resumes slide show playback from the last picture displayed.

To keep showing the current picture

Press 8 or ENTER.

Pressing 3 (SELECT) resumes the slide show playback.

To select the start point of the slide show

If it is in the right column, press 2 to move it to the left column.

2 Press 5/to move the bar to a desired group, then press 3.

• On the right column, files in the selected group are shown.

3 Press 5/or 4/¢ to select the desired file, then press ENTER.

The selected file is played back.

When you press 3 (SELECT), the continuous playback starts from the selected file.

You can change the files on the list by pressing 4/¢.

NOTES

Files can also be selected by pressing the numeric buttons.

If no operation is made for more than 5 minutes while the Control display is shown, the screen saver function will be activated and the Control display disappears.

To pause playback

Press 8.

Pressing 3 (SELECT) resumes normal playback.

To zoom in a JPEG picture

Press ZOOM.

Each time you press ZOOM, the magnification increases to 1.8, 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64 times.

Press 5//2/3 to move the zoomed position during playback. Press ZOOM repeatedly to cancel the zoom function and select the normal size.

To stop playback

Press 7.

The Control display appears on the TV.

NOTES

It may take time to show the Control display due to the layer configuration of the files and groups.

The elapsed time may be incorrectly indicated on the display window due to the recording condition of the MP3/WMA file.

In the normal playback mode, playback stops when all the files in a group are played.

From the Control display

1 Make sure that the black (cursor) bar is in the left (group) column.

2 Press 5/to move the bar to a desired group.

3 Press 4/¢ to select a desired file.

4 Press 3 (SELECT).

The slide show starts from the specified file.

Direct selection

1 During playback or while stopped, press

TITLE/GROUP.

2 Press the numeric buttons to specify a desired group number.

To select 5: press 5.

To select 23: press +10, +10, then 3.

To select 40: press +10, +10, +10, then 10.

3 Press the numeric buttons to specify a desired file number.

The player starts slide show playback from the specified file. If you do not specify a file, the player starts slide show playback from the first file in the group.
