Front panel
1STANDBY indicator
Lights when the power cord is connected and the unit is
on standby. When the unit is turned on, the STANDBY
indicator goes off.
2STANDBY/ON button (18)
Turns the unit on or off (standby).
3Remote sensor
Receives signals from the remote control unit.
4Disc tray (18)
Used to load a disc.
50 (OPEN/CLOSE) button (18)
Used to open and close the disc tray.
6Display window (8)
Indicates the current status of the unit.
74/¢ (SKIP) buttons (19, 37)
Used to skip a chapter, title or track. Also, used for the
page selection of a menu screen (for Video CD/SVCD).
Holding down 4 or ¢ during playback reverses or
advances playback rapidly (except MP3 CD).
87 (STOP) button (19, 37)
Stops blayback. Also used to change the video output
setting (See page 14).
93 (PLAY) button (19, 37)
Starts playback. Also, used as a SELECT button for
PBC of Video CDs/SVCDs.
08 (PAUSE) button (19, 37)
Pauses playback. Also, used to displ ay nine continuous
still pictures (STROBE f unction).
