1STANDBY indicator (21)
Lights in red when the power cord is connected and the unit is on standby. When the unit is turned on, the STANDBY indicator goes off.
2STANDBY/ON button (21) Turns the unit on or off (standby).
3Remote sensor
Receives signals from the remote control unit.
4Disc tray (21) Used to load a disc.
5 0 (OPEN/CLOSE) button (21) Used to open and close the disc tray.
6PROGRESSIVE indicator (15)
Lights up when the Progressive scan mode is active. It lights in green during playback of a

Indicates the current status of the unit.
8 4/¢ (SKIP) buttons (23, 41)
Used to skip a chapter, title or track. Also, used for the page selection of a menu screen (for Video CD). Holding down 4 or ¢during playback reverses or advances playback rapidly (except MP3 disc).
9 7 (STOP) button (22, 41) Stops playback.
0 3 (PLAY) button (22, 41)
Starts playback. Also, used as a SELECT button for PBC of Video CDs.
-8 (PAUSE) button (22, 41)
Pauses playback. Also, used to display
nine continuous still pictures (STROBE function).
