*Do notlet childrenoperate or play near grill.
Keepgrill area clear and free from materialsthat burn.
•Do not block holes in bottom or back of grill.
•Checkburner flames regularly.
•Use grill only in well-ventilated space. NEVER use in
enclosed space such as carport,garage, porch, covered
patio,or under anoverhead structure of any kind.
•Do notuse charcoal or ceramic briquets in a gas grill.
(Unlessbriquets are supplied with your grill.)
Usegrill at least 3ft. from any wall orsurface. Maintain
10ft. clearance to objects that can catch fire or sources of
ignitionsuch as pilot lightson water heaters, live electrical
appliances,etc.
•Apartment Dwellers:
Checkwith management to learn the requirements and fire
codes for using an LPgas grill inyour apartmentcomplex. If
allowed, use outside on theground floorwith athree (3)foot
clearance from walls or rails. Donot use onor under
balconies.
NEVERattempt to light burner with lid closed. A buildup
of non-ignited gas inside a closed grill is hazardous.
Never operategrill with LP tank out of correct position
specified inassembly instructions.
Always close LPtank valve and remove coupling nut
before moving LP tank from specified operation
position.
Safety Tips
A Before opening LP cylinder valve, check the coupling nut for
tightness.
A When grill is notin use,turn offall control knobs and LP
cylindervalve.
A If the outdoor cooking gas appliance is not in use, the gas
mustbe turned offat the supply cylinder. Storage of an
outdoorcooking gas appliance indoors is permissible only if
thecylinder is disconnected and removed from the appliance.
,& Nevermove grill while in operation or still hot.
,& Uselong-handled barbecueutensils andoven mittsto avoid
burnsand splatters.
,& Maximumload for sideshelves is 10 Ibs.
,& Thegrease cup must beinserted into grease clip and
emptied after each use. Do notremove grease cup until grill
hascompletely cooled.
,& Cleangrill often, preferably after each cookout.If a bristle
brushis usedto clean any of the grill cookingsurfaces,
ensureno loose bristles remain on cooking surfaces prior to
grilling. It is not recommendedto clean cookingsurfaces
while grill is hot.
,& Ifyou notice grease or other hot materialdripping from grill
ontovalve, hoseor regulator,turn off gas supply at once.
Determinethe cause, correct it,then clean and inspectvalve,
hoseand regulator beforecontinuing. Perform a leak test.
,& The regulator may make a humming or whistling noise during
operation. This will notaffect safety or use of grill.
,& Onlyuse the pressureregulator and hose assembly supplied
with this grill. Replacementpressure regulatorand hose
assemblies must be specified orsupplied by Char-Broil, LLC.
,& Ifyou have a grill problem see the "Troubleshooting Section".
,& Ifthe regulator frosts, turn off grill and LP cylinder valve
immediately.This indicates a problemwith the cylinder and it
should not be used on any product. Return to supplier!
CAUTION
Putting out grease fires by closing the lid is not
possible. Grills are well ventilated for safety
reasons.

Do not use water on a grease fire. Personal injury

may result. Ifa grease fire develops, turn knobs

and LP cylinder off.

Do not leave grill unattended while preheating or

burning off food residue on HI.If grill has not been

regularly cleaned, a grease fire can occur that may

damage the product.
