Turning Grill Off
•Turnall knobsto OFF position. Turn LPtank off by turning
OPD handwheel clockwise to afull stop.
Ignitor Check
•Turn gas off at LP tank. Pressand holdignitor button. "Click"
shouldbe heardand sparkseen each time between collector
boxor burnerand electrodes.See "Troubleshooting"if noclick
or spark.
Valve Check
important:Make sure gas is off at LP tank before checking
valves. Knobs lockin OFF position. To check valves,first
push in knobs and release,knobs should springback. Ifknobs
do not spring back, replace valveassembly before using grill.
Turnknobs to LO position then turn backto OFF position.
Valvesshould turn smoothly.
General Grill Cleaning
•Keepthe outsideof your grill looking new by cleaningit once a
monthwith warm soap and water or a non-abrasive cleaner. If
youdon't havea grillcover, wipeoff dust andgrime before
startingyour grill.
• Coating the cooking grids with spray-on cooking oil will keep the
foodfrom stickingand makeclean upeasier. After cooking,
scrapethe grateswith along handled,brass wire bristlebrush.
•Checkinside the grill bottomfor greasebuild upand clean
often,especially after cooking fatty meat.
•Donot mistakebrown or black accumulation of grease and
smokefor paint. Apply astrong solutionof detergentand water
or usea grill cleaner with scrub brushon insides of grill lid and
bottom. Rinse and allow tocompletely air dry.Do not apply a
caustic grill/oven cleanerto painted surfaces.
Platedwire grates: Wash grates with concentrated grill
cleaneror use soap and water solution. Drythoroughly and
store indoors between cookouts.
• Plastic parts: Washwith warm soapywater andwipe dry.
,A.Do notuse citrisol, abrasive cleaners,degreasers or a
concentrated grillcleaner on plastic parts. Damageto and
failureof parts can result.
Porcelain grates: Becauseof glass-likecomposition, most
residuecan bewiped awaywith bakingsoda/water solutionor
speciallyformulated cleaner. Use non-abrasive scouring
powderfor stubborn stains.
Painted surfaces: Washwith milddetergent or nonabrasive
cleanerand warm soapy water. Wipe dry with asoft
nonabrasive cloth.
Stainless steel surfaces: Tomaintain your grill's high quality
appearance,wash with mild detergent and warm soapywater
andwipe drywith asoft clothafter eachuse. Baked-ongrease
depositsmay requirethe use of an abrasive plastic cleaning
pad. Use only in direction ofbrushed finishto avoid damage.
Donot useabrasive padon areaswith graphics.
• Cooking surfaces: If abristle brush isused to clean any of
thegrill cooking surfaces,ensure no loosebristles remain on
cookingsurfaces priorto grilling.It isnot recommendedto
cleancooking surfaces while grill is hot.
