Use the following procedure to erase a single track being played.

40 Be careful in using this operation because a track cannot be recovered once it has been erased.

Preparation

1Play a MD.

2Press the EDIT/SPACE key to switch the editing mode on.

Erasing the track being played (TRACK ERASE)

1Select “ERASE”.

The modes are switched by rotating the JOG DIAL.

1 DIVIDE? : Dividing a track

2COMBINE? : Combining tracks

3 ERASE? : Erasing track(s)

4 MOVE? : Moving (reordering) tracks

ÖEditing is aborted if no operation has been performed for 8 seconds.

Confirm that the track has been erased.

Display after execution

“EDIT NOW!” : When editing is in progress

“COMPLETE!” : When editing is completed successfully

“CAN’T EDIT” : When editing is incomplete

ÖIt takes a while until the execution completes.

ÖThe track being played is erased (together with its track title).

ÖIf you execute an editing operation by mistake, the condition before

editing can be recovered by performing the “EDIT CANCEL” opera-

tion.
