4-3 "MAIN" OSD Operation

This section describes the display contents and controllable items of the "MAIN" OSD. (Note that certain items may not be controllable depending on the played disc and player status.)

1Disc icon: Shows the disc number. Select to change the disc.

2Group icon: Shows the group number in DVD AU-

DIO disc.

(DV-5900M only)

Track icon: Shows the track number in DVD AU- DIO, VCD or CD disc.

Title icon: Shows the title number in DVD VIDEO disc.

Chapter icon: Shows the chapter number in DVD VIDEO disc.

Folder icon: Shows the folder number in MP3 file.

File icon: Shows the file number in MP3 file.

Select an icon to change its content.

3Time display icon: Shows the disc time. Select to perform time search or change the time display.

4-3-1Selecting the disc to be played

Use the following procedure to select a new disc to be played using OSD.

÷Rotate the DISC knob on the front panel to select the disc number. The disc number can also be selected using the DISC SEL. and numeric buttons on the remote.

Operation procedure

1. Press the ON SCREEN button to display the "MAIN"

OSD.

2. Move the cursor to the Disc (Disc icon) by pressing

the cursor left/right button, then press the ENTER

button.

÷This operation is not available in the all random and program mode.

3.Select the disc number (1~400, PLUS1~3) by pressing the cursor up/down button, then press the ENTER button to start playback.

Chapter 4: OSD Operation

4-3-2Selecting a group, title, folder, chapter, track or file

Use the following procedure to select a new group, title, folder, chapter, track or file to be played using OSD. (They can also be selected directly by pressing the numeric buttons or a 4, ¢ button. ⁄)

When performing this operation with a P.B.C.-

compatible VCD, set P.B.C. to off.

Operation procedure

1.Press the ON SCREEN button during playback to display the "MAIN" OSD.

2.Move the cursor to the "Group", "Track", "Title", "Chapter", "Folder" or "File" icon by pressing the cursor left/right button, then press the ENTER button.
