Basic Operation
Selecting Tuner source
Press the [SRC] button.
Select the “TUNER” display.
Selecting the Receiving Band
Press the [BAND] button.
Each time you press the button, the receiving band alternates between the FM1, FM2, FM3 and AM.
Selecting the Receiving station
Press the [4] or [¢] button.
During reception of stereo stations the “ST” indicator lights up.
Selecting the preset channel
Press the [1] – [6] button.
Traffic information
Press the [] button for at least 1 second.
Turns ON or OFF the Traffic Information function. When the function is set to ON, “TI” indicator lights up.
If traffic bulletin starts when the function is ON, “TRAFFIC INFO” (“TRAFFIC”) is displayed and traffic information is received.
Station Preset Memory
Putting a station in the memory.
1Select the frequency to put in the memory Press the [4] or [¢] button.
2Select the number to put in the memory Press the [1] – [6] button for at least 2 seconds.

•Up to 6 stations with a different band (FM/AM) can be memorized to the [1] – [6] button according to the setting of “PRESET TYPE” of <Initial Setting> (page 18).
Tuner Setting
You can select following Tuner Setting items.
1Select the TUNER source Press the [SRC] button. Select the “TUNER” display.
2Enter Function Setting mode
Press the [VOL] knob for at least 1 second. “FUNCTION” is displayed.
3Select the function item
Turn the [VOL] knob and press it when the desired item is displayed.
Select “SETTINGS” > Function item.

“LOCAL SEEK” | Only stations whose reception is good are searched |

“SEEK MODE” | Selects the tuning mode of the radio. |

“AUTO MEMORY”* Putting stations with good reception in the memory automatically.

“MONO SET” | You can reduce the noise when stereo broadcasts |

“NEWS SET” | Automatically receives news bulletin when it starts. |
| Set the time during which interrupt is to be disabled |
| after start of another news bulletin. |
| Changing “NEWS 00M” to “NEWS 90M” turns this |
| function ON. If news bulletin starts when this |
| function is ON, “NEWS” is displayed and news is |
| received. If “20M” is has been set, reception of |
| another news bulletin will not start for 20 minutes. |
| The news bulletin volume is the same level that |
| was set for Traffic Information. |

“AF SET” | When station reception is poor, automatically |
| switches to the station that is broadcasting the |
| same program over the same RDS network. |

“RDS REGIONAL” | Sets whether to switch to the station only in the |
