Customizing your camera

Use Setup to customize your camera settings.

1In any mode, press the Menu button.

2Press to highlight Setup , then press the OK button.

3Press to highlight the setting you wish to change,

then press the OK button.

4Choose an option, then press the OK button.

5Press the Menu button to exit.

Setting Icon Options
Return to previous menu.
Liveview
Set the camera screen on/off default.
Press OK to manually turn the screen
on or off (see page11).
On (default)—camera screen is on
whenever the camera is on.
Off —camera screen is off.
Sound Themes
Choose the camera-sound theme you
prefer for power up, shutter release,
self-timer, and warnings.
Shutter Only
Standard (default)
And several musical and
sound themes
Volume
Turn Off all sounds, or choose a
volume level.
Off
Low (default)
Medium
High
Auto Power Off
Select when you would like the camera
to go to sleep.
10 minutes (default)
5, 3, or 1 minute

Video Out
Choose the regional setting that lets
you connect the camera to a television
or other external device.
NTSC (default)—used in North
America and Japan; most common
format.
PAL—used in Europe and China.
