Troubleshooting

Status	Solution
Battery life is short	■ Make sure the correct battery type is installed (see page 61).
	■ Wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth before inserting a
	battery in the camera.
	■ Insert a new or charged battery (see page 1).
You cannot take a	■ Turn the camera off, then on again.
picture	■ Depress the Shutter button all the way (see page 5).
	■ Insert a new or charged battery (see page 1).
	■ Memory is full. Transfer pictures to the computer (see page 46),
	delete pictures (see page 15), or insert another card.
Error message appears	■ Turn the camera off, then on again.
on LCD	■ Remove the memory card.
	■ Turn off the camera. Remove the battery. Wipe the contacts with
	a clean, dry cloth.
	■ Insert a new or charged battery.
	■ If the problem still exists, get help (see page 55).
Memory card not	■ Card may be corrupted. Format the card in the camera (see
recognized or camera	page 37).
freezes with card	■ Use another memory card.
Cannot find the	■ To view pictures on a card or in internal memory, see page 14.
