Flash does not fire ■Check the flash setting, and change as needed (page19).
NOTE: The flash does not fire in all modes.Storage location is
almost or entirely full
■Transfer the pictures to the computer (page12).
■Delete pictures from the card or insert a new card.
■Change the image storage location to internal memory
(page32).
Battery life is short ■Make sure the correct battery type is installed (page55).
■Wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth before inserting a
battery in the camera. See page55.
■Insert a new or charged battery (page1).
You cannot take a
picture
■Turn the camera off, then on again. Make sure the camera is not
in Favorites mode.
■Depress the Shutter button all the way (page5).
■Insert a new or charged battery (page1).
■Wait until the Ready light turns green before taking another
picture.
■Memory is full. Transfer pictures to the computer (page12),
delete pictures (page11), change image storage location, or
insert another card.
Error message appears
on the LCD
■Turn the camera off, then on again.
■Remove the memory card.
■Remove the battery. Wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth
(page55).
■Insert a new or charged battery (page1).
■If the problem still exists, get help (page47).
Memory card not
recognized or the
camera freezes with
the card.
■Card may be corrupted. Format the card in the camera (Format,
page35).
■Use another memory card.
