USING THE BUILT-IN FLASH

In P mode, the built-in flash will pop-up automatically when the shutter is pressed partway down. Once the flash is up, it will fire when necessary.

• The shutter will not release until the flash is charged.

• Select flash cancel ( ) when you don’t want the flash to fire.

• Do not touch the flash when it fires.

Use flash cancel when photographing twilight scenes or to capture the ambiance of existing light.

Press the flash-mode button

until appears in the data panel.

If the flash lamp blinks slowly, the required shutter speed is too slow to hand hold the camera. Turn the flash on or use

atripod.

•Press the program-reset button or flash-mode button to return to autoflash mode.
