Continuous-advance - to take up to four images when the shutter-release button is pressed and held. With the image-size setting of 2560 x 1920, the maximum rate of capture is 1.9 fps.

The built-in flash can be used, but the rate of capture is reduced because the flash must recharge between frames. Date imprinting (p. 50) also reduces the rate of capture.

UHS continuous-advance - to capture up to eleven 1280x960 images in one second regardless of the image-quality setting. A thumbnail of each frame in the series is shown six at a time while being saved. The built-in flash cannot be used. When the red low-battery warning is displayed, this drive mode cannot be used. Very bright light sources in the scene may cause streaks to appear on the image. Black areas caused by data loss may also be apparent.
