NOTE: Before loading the paper, be sure that it is not
curled or folded. Curled or folded paper may cause
paper jams.
Ensure that the loaded paper does not exceed the
level indicated.
3Gently push the cassette back in all the way.
Loading Paper in the MP Tray
In addition to standard and recycled paper, special paper (60 - 220g/m2) may be loaded. 100 sheets
of 11× 8 1/2" or A4 or smaller size paper (80g/m2) or 50 sheets of 8 1/2× 14" or B4 or larger paper
(80 g/m2) may be loaded.
Paper sizes 11× 17" - 51/2 ×81/2", A3 - A6R, 8K, 16K, and 16KR can be loaded.
The capacity of the MP tray is as follows.
IMPORTANT: When making color copies, use special color paper for best results.
Do not use inkjet printer paper or paper with special surface coatings. (They may cause a failure,
such as a paper jam.)
After loading paper, be sure to specify the type and size of the paper loaded in the MP tray on the
operation panel. For further details, refer to Specifying the Paper Size to the MP Tray on page2-10
and Specifying the Paper Type to the MP Tray on page2-15.
1Open the MP tray.
When loading paper larger than 8 1/2× 11" or A4R, pull
out the MP tray extension.

Standard paper (80g/m2), recycled paper,

81/2× 14"or B4 or larger: 50 sheets
Standard paper (120g/m2, 160 g/m2, 200 g/m2)
