Batteryproblems

Solution:Thebatterypackmightbeover-discharged.Dothefollowing:
1.T urnoffthecomputer.
2.Mak esurethattheover-dischargedbatt erypackisinthecomputer.
3.Connecttheacpoweradaptertothecomputerandletitcharge.
IftheoptionalQuickChargerisavailable,useittochargetheover-dischargedbatterypack.
Ifthebatterypackcannotbefullychargedin24hours,useanewbatterypack.
•Problem:Yourcomputershutsdownbeforethebatterystatusindicatorshowsempty,-or-Your
computeroperatesafterthebatterystatusindicatorshowsempty.
Solution:Dischargeandrechargethebatterypack.
•Problem:Theoperatingtimeforafullychargedbatterypackisshort.
Solution:Dischargeandr echargethebatterypack.Ifyourbattery'soperatingtimeisstillshort,usea
newbatterypack.
•Problem:Thecomputerdoesnotoperatewithafullychargedbatterypack.
Solution:Thesurgeprotectorinthebatterypackmightbeactive.Turnoffthecomputerforoneminuteto
resettheprotector;thenturnonthecomputeragain.
•Problem:Thebatterypackcannotbecharged.
Solution:Youcannotchargethebatterywhenitist oohot.Ifthebatteryfeelshot,removeitfromthe
computerandallowittocooltoroomtemperature.Afteritcools,reinstallitandrechargethebatt ery.Ifit
stillcannotbecharged,haveitserviced.

ACpoweradapterproblems

•Problem:Theacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputerandtheworkingelectricaloutlet,butthe
poweradapter(powerplug)iconisnotdisplayedinthetaskbar.Alsotheacpowerindicatordoes
notlightup.
Solution:Doasfollows:
1.Mak esurethattheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect.Forconnectingtheacpower
adapter,seetheSetupInstructionsmanualincludedintheshippingcontentsofyourcomputer.
2.Iftheabovestepiscorrect,turnoffthecomputer,thendisconnecttheacpoweradapteranduninstall
themainbattery.
3.Reinstallthebatteryandreconnecttheacpoweradapter,thenturnonthecomputer.
4.Ifthepoweradaptericonstilldoesnotappearonthetaskbarandtheacpowerindicatordoesnot
lightup,havetheacpoweradapterandyourcomputerserviced.
