RemovingthecardAttention:
•BeforeremovingastorageExpressCard,suchasaFlashmemoryExpressCard,asolidstateExpressCard,
oraMemoryCardReaderExpressCard,fromanExpressCardslot,youmuststoptheExpressCard.
Otherwise,dataontheExpressCardmightbecorruptedorlost.
•DonotremoveanExpressCardwhilethecomputerisinsleep(standby)modeorhibernationmode.Ifyou
do,thesystemwillnotrespondwhenyoutrytoresumeoper ation.
ToremoveanExpressCar doraashmediacard,dothefollowing:

•ClicktheShowhiddeniconsinthetaskbar .
•Right-clickSafelyRemoveHardwareandEjectMediaicon.
•SelectcorrespondingitemtoejectthecardfromtheWindowsoperatingsystem.
•Pressthecardtoejectitfromyourcomputer.
•Removethecardfromyourcomputerandstoreitsafelyforfutureuse.
ForWindowsXP:
•ClicktheSafelyRemoveHardwareiconinthetaskbar
•SelectcorrespondingitemtoejectthecardfromtheWindowsoperatingsystem.
•Pressthecardtoejectitfromyourcomputer.
•Removethecardfromyourcomputerandstoreitsafelyforfutureuse.
Note:IfyoudonotremovethecardfromyourcomputerafteryouejectthecardfromtheWindows
operatingsystem,thecardcannolongerbeaccessed.Toaccessthecard,youmustremoveitonce,
theninsertitagain.
