Sharing your phone’s mobile data connection

You can share your phone’s data connection with up to eight devices at once, by turning your phone into a portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

When your phone is sharing its data connection, an icon appears in the Status bar and as an ongoing notification in the Notifications panel.

Make Your Device a 3G Mobile Hotspot

3G Mobile Hotspot can share the phone’s 3G data connection with any Wi-Fi capable devices.

WARNING! There are security risks associated with creating a wi-fi network open to the public. It is highly recommended that you take steps to protect your wi-fi network from unauthorized access. To add encryption to your Wi-Fi hotspot:
