Power Wiring
✦NOTE: DO NOT APPLY POWER UNTIL THE INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE.TURN MASTER POWER SWITCH OFF BEFORE WIRING.
1.Route two wires between the AE1000Plus and the power transformer.
•For power wire runs up to 100 feet, use 18 AWG, THHN
•For power wire runs up to 200 feet, use 16 AWG, THHN
2.Connect the wires to the transformer. Connect the other end of the wires to the AE1000Plus AC1 & AC2 terminals.
Backup Battery / Uninterruptable Power Supply
Use of battery backup is optional. It will allow the AE1000Plus to operate for short periods of time without AC power. The door or gate access device must use some type of battery backup of its own for the entire system to be functional.
A backup battery will not fi t into the AE1000Plus case. Protect the backup battery inside a

1.Route two wires between the AE1000Plus and the backup battery.
2.Connect the Battery positive to the AE1000Plus DC+ terminal and the negative to the DC- terminal.
✦NOTE: The AE1000Plus does not supply battery charging current. An external battery charger will be required to maintain the battery.
