6.2.4.6Connecting Non-Disk SCSI DevicesSCSI tape drives and SCSI CD-ROM drives must each have a unique SCSI ID regardless of the SCSI channel they are attached to. The general rule for Unix systems is:
Tape drive set to SCSI ID 2
CD-ROM drive set to SCSI ID 5
Caution: Since all non-disk SCSI devices are single ended, it is not advisable to attach a non-disk device to a MegaRAID SCSI 320-1 RAID controller if LVD disk drives are also attached. This is because the SCSI bus will then operate in single- ended mode.
