Setting up your 1157:
1.Install 4 ‘AA’ batteries as illustrated. (Should the display screen show a message to replace the batteries, please do so right away. Failure to replace batteries at once may result in leakage of battery fluid, and in turn cause damage to the unit.)
2.To use your 1157 without batteries, use ONLY the included AC adapter. Plug the adapter into the unit first, then into the wall outlet.
3.Remove cuff from built in storage compartment.
4.Connect the arm cuff to the 1157. The two prong plug will fit the socket on the left side of the unit only one way, with the air tube leading towards you.
