- Cable TV
Conne ct the cabl e TV signa l to the CA BLE/
ANTEN NA 75 jack at the bottom of the TV.

Note: T his connect ion will su pply stereo sound to th e TV if
the s tation you a re viewing broadcasts stereo soun d.
- Cable box with RF I N/OUT
• Connec t the incom ing cable T V signal to the cable IN
jack on the back of the cab le box.
• Connec t a coaxia l cable (not supplied) from the TO T V
jack o n the back of the cable box to the CABLE/
ANTEN NA 75 jack at the bott om of the T V.
Note: Your cable box ma y have a dif ferent lab el for the TO
TV jack. Commonly us ed labels i nclude OUTPU T or OUT.
• Set t he OUTPUT CH switch on the cable b ox to CH
3 or 4 (whicheve r is correc t for your ca ble box), Ne xt,
tune t he TV to t he correspon ding channe l. Once
tuned , change cha nnels using the cable box, not the TV.
Note: T his connect ion will no t supply st ereo sound to the TV. The
reason i s that the RF output on a cable box - labeled TO TV, OUT
or OUTPUT for example - will not sen d a stereo s ignal to the tuner
(VHF/ UHF) inpu t on a TV.
- Cable box with A/ V outputs
• Connec t the incom ing cable T V signal to a signal
split ter (not su pplied). T he signal sp litter en ables you to avoid
having to use the TO TV jack o n the back o f the cable box.
This j ack will not supply ste reo sound to the TV.
Note: Your cable box may have a di fferent la bel for the TO
TV ja ck. Commonl y used labe ls include O UTPUT or OU T.
• Connec t a coaxia l cable (not supplied) to a connect or on
the s ignal split ter and to the CABLE /ANTENNA 75
jack on the TV.
• Connec t another c oaxial cab le (not supp lied) to a
conne ctor on the signal spli tter and t o the cable IN jack
on th e back of th e cable box.
• Connec t A/V ca bles (not su pplied) to the VIDEO I N and
AUDIO L and R outputs on the back of the cable b ox
and to the AV2 video (labeled V IDEO IN) and AUDIO
(labe led L and R) j acks on the back of the TV.
• To view pro grams from your cable bo x, fi r st press th e
SOURCE button on the remote c ontrol.
• Press the cursor d own or up bu ttons unti l the AV2 sign al
source is selecte d.
• Press the OK but ton to confi rm your selec tion. The AV2
input source becom es current f or the viewi ng of cable TV
progr ams through your cable b ox.
Note: If your cable box audio/v ideo output s do not sup ply
video a nd stereo a udio to the TV, you will need to make the
connec tion shown a bove in “Cab le box with RF IN/O UT.

Watching cable TV programs that don’t require the use of a cable box.
Since you’ve connected the cable TV signal
directly to the TV’s tuner, you can also watch
unscrambled programs by simply tuning t o
the desired channel; however, you must fi rst use
Auto program to store available channels in t he
TV’s memory. (p. 12)
Note: This connection will sup ply stereo sound to the
TV if the station you are viewing br oadcasts stereo
sound.
