Initialize the setting or SD Memory Card.
• For how to select the setting items and options, refer to “Custom” on page 30.
1) Press [SETUP] in stop mode.
2) Use [Y/Z] to select , then press [ENTER].
3) Use [U/V] to select a desired option, then press [ENTER] .
“Setup” : All the settings except for the “Ratings” and “Network
Connection” setting will be reset to default.
“Format SD Card” : Initialize the SD Memory Card.
“Erase Saved BD-ROM Data (Player)” : BD-ROM data for Player used for BD-Java will be
initialized.
“Erase Saved BD-ROM Data (SD Card)” : BD-ROM data for SD Card (available only when an SD
Memory Card is inserted) used for BD-Java will be
initialized.
“Network Settings” : Reset the network setting to the default.
4) Confirmation message will appear. Use [U/V] to sel ect “Yes”, then press [ENTER].
5) Press [SETUP] to exit.
Note
• Please do not unplug the AC cord or LAN cable while executing the “Network Update”.
• All settings will remain the same even if you update the firmware version.
• The disc tray will open automatically after updating finishes. This is not a malfunction.

Note
• Do not remove the SD Memory Card while executing the “Format SD Card” or “Erase Saved BD-
ROM Data (SD Card)”. It will damage the card.
• “Format SD Card” and “Erase Saved BD-ROM Data (SD Card)” are not available when a Blu-ray
Disc is in the unit.
