SECURING HEATER TO FLOOR

NOTE: Clearance requirements as detailed in “Clearances and Height Requirements” section of this manual must be met before securing heater in place.

To prevent movement, the heater must be secured to the floor or hearth.

1.Lift off louvers and remove the screen.

2.Remove log set.

3.To remove the grate and base assembly, take out two screws as shown in Figure 15.

4.Lift grate and base assembly out of the firebox.

5. Secure the firebox with two anchoring screws (3/16" x 11/4" length) supplied with the fireplace system. See Figure 16 .

Note: If the unit is mounted on carpeting, tile or combustible material without the hearth, a metal or wooden base covering the entire width and depth of the base must be installed.
