Before using your Maxon GMRS-21X, you must obtain / possess a radio license issued by the Federal Communica- tions Commission (FCC). It is illegal to transmit without the appropriate license.

The GMRS-21X operates on General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) frequencies, which are allocated by the FCC for personal uses, including recreation and travel.
