OPERATING THE MICROWAVE OVEN

Basic operation

Place the food to be cooked in the microwave oven and close the door. Select cooking function as described below and start the microwave oven. Once the cooking time set has elapsed, the oven will switch off automatically. The display will show "0:00" and 4 beeps will sound.

Cooking can be temporarily interrupted at any time by pressing the Pause/ Reset button (g). If you press the button twice, the cooking time and the program selected will be cancelled.

Cooking can also be temporarily interrupted by opening the door (practical if the food needs turning).

When cooking is temporarily interrupted, one or more function indicators will show on the display, and the remaining cooking time. Cooking can be resumed by closing the oven door and pressing the Start (h) button again.

Express cooking

Express cooking takes place at full microwave power for the number of minutes you set.

1.Press the Quick Start (i) button. The microwave oven will start at full power.

2.For each additional time you press the Quick Start button, cooking time will be increased by 1 minute.

Cooking by manual selection of power and cooking time

1.Press the Micro button (b) to select power required. See the various levels in the table below.

2.When the display shows the desired power, set the cooking time using the time setting buttons (a):

For each time you press the 10 Min button, 10 minutes will be added to the cooking time.

For each time you press the 1 Min button, 1 minute will be added to the cooking time.

For each time you press the 10 Sec button, 10 seconds will be added to the cooking time.

3.Press the Start button to commence cooking.

4.The microwave indicator will start to flash and the display will show the remaining time.

You can see what the set power is at any time during cooking by pressing the Micro button. After a few seconds the display will show the remaining time again.

Example:

To set the microwave oven to cook at 80% power for 16 minutes and 50 seconds.

1.Press the Micro button three times. The display will show "P 80", and the

indicator will be lit.

2.Set the cooking time to 16 minutes and 50 seconds by pressing the 10 Min button once, 1 Min six times and 10 Sec five times.

3.Press the Start button to commence cooking. The microwave indicator will start to flash and the display will show the remaining time.

Grilling

1.Press the Grill button (c).

2.The display will show “G1”, and the indicator will light.

3.Set the desired cooking time using the time setting buttons.

4.Press the Start button to commence cooking. The grill indicator will start to flash and the display will show the remaining time.

Cooking with microwaves and grill

1.Press the Micro+Grill (d) button once or several times to select level allocation (see table below).

2.The display will show “G2” or “G3”, the and indicators will light.

3.Set the desired cooking time using the time setting buttons.

4.Press the Start button to commence cooking. The and indicators will start to flash and the display will show the remaining time.

You can see what the setting (G2 or G3) is at any time during cooking by pressing the Micro+Grill button. After a few seconds the display will show the remaining time again.

Convection cooking

1.Press the Conv button (e) to select the convection function.

2.Set the desired temperature between 140 and 230 ºC by repeatedly pressing the Conv button. Each time you press, the temperature will be increased by 10 ºC.

The convection indicator and a red field at the bottom of the display will light to indicate the temperature selected.

3.Press the Start button to commence preheating. The temperature indicator and other indicators will flash.

4.When the temperature set is reached, the microwave oven will beep five times to remind you that the food should be placed in the oven. The temperature indicator will now be lit constantly whilst the rest of the display flashes.

5.Place the food in the oven.

6.Set the desired cooking time using the time setting buttons. Please note: The time cannot be set before the oven door has been opened.

7.Press the Start button to commence cooking.

8.The convection indicator will start to flash and the display will show the remaining time. The temperature indicator at the bottom of the display will be constantly lit when the temperature is at the level set.

You can see what the set temperature is during cooking by pressing the Conv button. After a few seconds the display will show the remaining time again.

NB! The convection function can only be used for 99 minutes and 99 seconds at a time.

If the temperature set is not reached within 30 minutes, the heating element will switch off and the “E3” error message will show.

NOTE! The microwave oven heats up by means of the heating element, which switches off automatically when the oven reaches the desired temperature.

If you put the food into a cold oven it may become burnt if it is placed too close to the heating element or if it remains in the oven for a long time before the heating element switches off.

Cooking with microwaves and convection

1.Press the Micro+Conv (f) button once or several times to select level allocation (see table below).

2.The display will show “C1” to “C4”, the and indicators will light.

3.Set the desired cooking time using the time setting buttons.

4.Press the Start button to commence cooking. The , and indicators will start to flash and the display will show the remaining time.

5.The relevant indicators [symbol] will start to flash and the display will show the remaining time.

Two stage cooking

You can set two cooking stages, one after the other. If one of the stages is defrost, it must always be the first.

Example:

To set the microwave oven to cook at full power for 5 minutes, and then grill for 10 minutes.

1.Press Micro once to select 100% microwave power.

2.Set the cooking time by pressing the 1 Min button 5 times.

3.Press the Grill button once.

4.Set the cooking time by pressing the 10 Min button once.

5.Press the Start button. Please note that when half of the grill time set has elapsed, cooking will stop to allow you to turn the food around in the oven. If you do not do so, the grill will automatically re-start after 1 minute.

NB! The auto menu cannot be used as a step in two stage cooking.

Automatic defrosting

1.Set the desired weight by pressing once or several times on either the left or right side of the Defrost by weight (j) button.

2.The microwave oven will automatically calculate defrosting time based on the weight set.

3.Press the Start button to commence defrosting.

4.The microwave indicator will start to flash, the weight indicator will disappear and the display will show the remaining time.
