Bounced flash
Contrary to the dense shadows associated with full
frontal flash as a result of the sharp drop of light from
the foreground to the background,bounced flash will
produce a soft and uniform rendition of both the
subject and the background. For this purpose the
reflector can be turned up vertically (up to 80°) so
that the flash is „bounced“ back from a reflecting
surface (e.g. white ceiling).The reflecting surface
must be neutral in colour (for colour shots), e.g.
white,and it must not be structured as this could cast
shadows.
Tilting the reflector: Hold the mecablitz firmly
with one hand,and then pull the reflector head
out to the front of the case with the other hand.
The reflector can now be tilted upwards
vertically by approx.80°.
PLEASE NOTE: Ensure that the reflector is
tilted upwards at a sufficiently large angle
so that no direct light from the reflector can
fall upon the subject.
