The higher continued cooking settings are generally used for frying, a short heat-up time is needed to heat up the pan initially.

Taking a pan off the burner while Auto-heat is in operation interrupts the function. It will resume if a pan is placed back on the burner within

3 minutes.

Activating Auto-heat

￿Turn the control knob counterclockwise as far as it will go and hold until an A appears in the display.

If the knob is held too long, an L will appear in the display and the Lock is activated (see "Child safety lock").

￿Turn the control knob clockwise to the desired continued power level.

If a continued power level is not selected within 5 seconds, the Auto-heat feature is not activated.

Once Auto-heat has been activated the continued power level must be set within 10 seconds. After this time the level cannot be changed.

Changing the continued power level after 10 seconds will deactivate the Auto-heat function.

During the Auto-heat phase an A will show in the display.

The immediate responsiveness of induction heat provides chefs with precise control, enabling them to boil, simmer, or sear with perfect accuracy.

The cooktop offers two cooking zones, each equipped with a powerful output that can reach up to 3.7 kW, allowing for faster heating and boiling. Users can easily adjust the temperature settings with the intuitive touch controls, which respond instantly to input for seamless cooking adjustments. Additionally, the CS1221 features a bridge function that allows two cooking zones to be combined into one larger area, perfect for larger cookware or griddle pans.

Safety is a significant consideration in the design of the Miele CS1221. The cooktop is equipped with several safety features, including automatic shut-off, which activates after a set period of non-use. Moreover, the safety lock function prevents accidental adjustments, making it suitable for families with young children. Constructed with a sleek black ceramic glass surface, the Miele CS1221 not only offers a modern look that complements any kitchen style but also ensures easy cleaning. The smooth surface allows for quick wipe-downs after cooking, and the induction technology reduces splatter and spills, as heat is only generated in the areas where cookware is placed.
