Safety distance between hob and cooker hood (S)
The following minimum safety distance must be maintained between the top of the cooker/hob and the bottom of the cooker hood unless a greater distance is specified by the manufacturer of the cooker or hob:

–However, we recommend a minimum distance of 700 mm and a maximum distance of 1300 mm.
Please be aware that if positioned too high, extraction will be inefficient.
The cooker hood must cover the hob to ensure optimum extraction of cooking vapours:
–The cooker hood should be positioned centrally over the hob, not offset to one side or to the rear.
–The hob should be smaller than the cooker hood if possible, and no larger than equal size.
