Before using for the first time
Important:
The appliance must be properly in- stalled and connected to the water and electrical supply in accordance with local and national codes.
Installation instructions can be found on pages 33 - 37.
Make sure the transport struts on the rear of the washer have been removed.
Any residual water left in the machine from the testing pro- cess should be flushed out as follows:
Do not put any laundry in the ma- chine.
Add a small amount of detergent to compartment j.
Turn on the machine.
Turn the programme selector to the “COTTONS 60°C” programme.
Press the “Short” button.
Any residues will be flushed out dur- ing the course of the programme.
Water hardness reminder
The amount of detergent to use can de- pend on various factors, including the water hardness level in your area. You can set the water hardness dial in the detergent dispenser box as a reminder of the water hardness level in your area.
Turn the dial to the applicable water hardness range
Use the tool supplied with the ma- chine. It is located behind the deter- gent drawer door, on the left hand side (see page 24).
