16. Connect - Private

This option appears in the Action menu and is available to Administrators and to Users with private connection rights. See page 48.

To activate Connect - Private:

1.Select the desired device.

2.From the Action menu select Connect - Private. Other Users are prevented from viewing the selected computer.

17. Disconnect User

An Administrator can disconnect a user from any device.

To disconnect a user:

1.Select the desired server/device.

2.From the Action menu select Disconnect User. The user is disconnected from the device.

18. Connecting to a local computer

When a DX User is connected to an optional local computer, select Action/Local Computer to work on the local computer.

To exit the local computer, press left Shift, Shift.

Alternatively you can toggle between the DX AIM and the local PC by pressing the hotkey - explained on page 43.

19. Updating the DX Central

To update the firmware, the DX system must be connected and switched on.

You update the DX Central firmware using the DX Central Update program which is located on the Minicom Flash USB key. To obtain the latest firmware, go to www.minicom.com and look in the Support menu. With the Update program you can also check the DX central version number, change the DX Central settings, restore factory defaults, backup the DX system database and load a saved database.
