If no V-Chip rating and/or category signal

is sent from the broadcaster, no rating information will be displayed, and the V- CHIP LOCK will not be able to block the program or movie.

V-Chip Rating Information

(Figure 1)

When provided by the broadcaster, V-Chip rating information can be displayed by press- ing the INFO button on the remote control. Rating guidelines are provided by broadcast stations. TV programs and made-for-TV movies can be blocked by the TV Rating and/ or Categories signal. Made-for-theater and direct-to-video movies can be blocked by the Movie Rating signal.
