Data and Fax Calls

Press	To
START (+)	activate the infrared link
	The phone displays the IrDA Link
	connecting message for five minutes
	or until the link is established.
	When the link has been established,
	the phone displays the IRDA link is
	active message.

If the phone does not find an infrared-capable device, it displays the IrDA link failed. Retry Now? message.

Press	To
YES (-)	try another connection

Break an Infrared Connection

You can break the infrared data connection by moving the device away from the phone, turning off the device, or turning off the phone.

Install the Software

Install the software from the CD-ROM that comes with your Motorola Original data kit. See the data kit’s user guide for more information.

Sending a Data or Fax Call

You can connect your phone to a computer or hand-held device to send data or a fax from the connected device.
