Using Memory
Making Notes on the Scratchpad
If you need to take a quick note, but you do not
want to save the number, use the Scratchpad,
which remembers the last phone number that was
on your phone’s display. The Scratchpad is helpful
if you are on the phone and your party gives you
another number to call.

Entering a Number in the Scratchpad

If you are on the phone and your party gives you
another number to call, enter the number on the
scratchpad so you can place the call later.
1. Enter the number into the keypad. (The
person on the line can hear tones as you
dial.)
2. Press e to end the current call, if
necessary.
3. Press S to call the number you saved on
the Scratchpad.

Storing Numbers During a Call

You can also store numbers during a call:
1. Enter the number into the keypad. (The
person on the line can hear tones as you
dial.)
2. Press s and continue storing with step 3 in
“Storing Names and Numbers” on page 40.
