1 ON/OFF/ VOLUME CONTROL

Turns the radio on or off and adjusts the volume level.

2ROTARY MODE SELECTOR KNOB (16-Position)

Allows you to select conventional and trunking modes.

3THREE-POSITION (A B C) TOGGLE SWITCH

Allows you to select the radio LTR operating group or conventional channel.

4 LED INDICATOR

Indicates the radio’s operating status; green/red/yellow light-emit- ting diode (LED). (See “Indicator LED Indications” paragraph.

5ORANGE TOP BUTTON

For future use.

6SIDE BUTTON 1

Programmed at shipment for scan on/off function.

7 SIDE BUTTON 2

Programmed at shipment for “deleting nuisance modes.”

8 SIDE BUTTON 3

Programmed at shipment for monitor operation.

9PUSH-TO-TALK (PTT) SWITCH

Puts the radio in the transmit mode.

10MICROPHONE PORT

Accepts voice input to the radio’s microphone.

Reduces background noise during transmit.
