49Greetings Schedule
Nextel Voice Mail allows you to record up to five sep a r at e gre e tin gs that can be
played based on pre-determined time frames. After you have recorded a greeting
for each time frame, you can then select any of those greetings as your active
greeting (see the following table). For example, if you activate the greeting
schedule after you record Morning and Afternoon Greetings, the system will
automatically play greetings 2 and 3 at the appropriate times. See the list of pre-
determined schedules--then refer to the steps in the following table to record
your greetings:
To record your greetings, follow the steps below:
Greeting 1 Generic
Greeting 24 hours a day/7 days a week. (This is the
default setting if you haven’t activated your
greeting schedule.)
Greeting 2 Morning
Greeting 7:30 a.m. -- 11:59 a.m.
Monday -- Friday
Greeting 3 Afternoon
Greeting Noon -- 6:00 p.m.
Monday -- Friday
Greeting 4 All Hours 24 hours a day/7 days a week
Greeting 5 All Hours 24 hours a day/7 days a week

Log into voice mail (see “Logging Into Voice Mail” on page 40).

Press 3 to reach the Greetings menu.

Press 4 to modify another greeting.

Enter the greeting number you wish to create or modify.

Press 2 to record a greeting.

Record your greeting and press # when you have finished.

Exit Voice Mail (see “About Voice Mail Menus” on page 40) or hang up
to end the call.
