entry mode. From the EDIT CONTACT screen, press Abc (-) to select an entry mode.

You can select 1 of the following entry modes:

iTAP Let the phone predict each word English (in English) as you press keys.

iTAP Let the phone predict each word Spanish (in Spanish) as you press keys.

Abc Enter letters and numbers by pressing a key 1 or more times, 1st character in uppercase.

ABC Enter letters and numbers by pressing a key 1 or more times, all characters in uppercase.

123Enter numbers only.

Symbols Enter symbols.

Capitalization and Numbers

Press < in any text entry screen to cycle through entry methods:

abc = no capital	123 = all numbers
letters
ABC = all capital	Abc = capitalize
letters	next letter only
iTAP= predictive text
entry

Using Tap Mode

This is the standard mode for entering text on your phone. Specify Tap mode by selecting Abc or ABC as your text entry mode.

Regular Tap mode cycles through the letters and numbers of the key you press, as shown in the “Character Chart” on page 29.
