Set how long the backlights for the main screen and the keypad remain on, or reduce backlight display time to extend battery life.

1From the main screen, press the MKey (MENU) to open the menu.

2Use the Directional Key (N) to scroll to Settings & Tools and press the MKey (OK).

3Scroll to Display Settings and press the MKey (OK).

4Scroll to Backlight and press the MKey (OK).

5Scroll to Display or Keypad and press the MKey (OK).

6Select the desired duration or mode and press the MKey (OK).

Note: When the keypad is locked (see page 17), the backlight turns off after two seconds of inactivity, regardless of the duration you set.

Note: Setting the backlight duration to Always will

significantly reduce battery charge.

brightness

Set the brightness of your main screen:

1From the main screen, press the MKey (MENU) to open the menu.

2Use the Directional Key (N) to scroll to

Settings & Tools and press the MKey (OK).

3Scroll to Display Settings and press the MKey (OK).

4Select Brightness and press the MKey (OK).

5Use the Directional Key (N) to adjust the brightness and press the MKey (OK).
