6. The MultiRouter Setup Installation dialog box appears which states, "Please select a communication
port for the setup utility to use." In other words, select which COM port on your PC is connected to
the Command Port of the RASFinder.
Select the COM port (COM1,COM2,COM3, or COM4) for the setup utility. The default port is COM1.
Click on OK when you are satisfied with your selection.
7. When the software is successful loaded on your PC, a system message is displayed stating
"MultiRouter Installation Successful. Do you want to setup default parameters?"
8. Ensure that the Fail LED is off before you click on the Yes button. Click on Yes to set up the default
parameters. If you click on No, the installation is complete.
9. To configure your RASFinder, a series of default dialog boxes, MultiRouter - Novell IPX Protocol
Default Setup, MultiRouter - IP Protocol Default Setup, MultiRouter - WAN Port Default Setup will be
displayed.
If your network protocol is IPX, continue with the following steps. If your network protocol is IP, click
on the IPX Routing Enable check box to disable IPX, then click on the OK button and proceed to
step 14.
10. Router Name: You can either use the default Router Name or assign a new Router Name in this
field. If you assign a new Router Name, it must be a printable ASCII string of a maximum of 47
characters. The router name is used by the RASFinder to advertise its service in the IPX inter-
network.
