OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Purge all gas lines with the glass door open. Assure that a continuous gas flow is at the burner before clos- ing the door. Allow several minutes (5-15) for the flame to stabilize after ignition.

Do not operate the main burner of the in- sert with the door opened.

When lit for the first time, the fireplace will emit a slight odour for a few hours. This is a normal temporary con- dition caused by the "burn-in" of paints and lubricants used in the manufacturing process and will not occur again. Simply open a window to sufficiently ventilate the room. After extended periods of non-operation such as following a vacation or a warm weather season, the fireplace may emit a slight odour for a few hours. This is caused by dust particles in the heat exchanger burn- ing off. Open a window to sufficiently ventilate the room.

PURGE THE GAS LINE WITH THE GLASS DOOR OPEN.
